Lucy Davies RVN
Lucy joined Ark Veterinary Clinics in 2003 as a trainee nurse and qualified in 2005. After job sharing as senior nurse for two years she is now our head nurse. Lucy has a diploma in cat friendly nursing and has helped Ark to achieve Silver status as a Cat Friendly Clinic. She now runs our cat care clinics, giving advice to owners whose cats have been recently diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, hypertension or hyperthyroidism. She also runs our Senior Cat Club. In her spare time, Lucy likes to go walking with her husband Richard and enjoys reading thriller novels.
Katie Elton FdSc RVN
Puppy Classes and Dog Trainer
Katie joined Ark in December 2008 as a trainee veterinary nurse from Nottingham Trent University and graduated in July 2011. She runs our puppy parties and dog training classes and has completed a canine friendly nursing course gaining a merit along with an advanced certificate in canine behaviour and training. Outside of work, Katie’s interests are spending time with her husband Liam and socialising with friends. She has two cats called Jack and Don and a rescue dog called Denzel.
Katy Lukehurst RVN
Katy joined Ark in December 2017 as a trainee veterinary nurse from Bottle Green Training and has since qualified as a veterinary nurse. She completed her first year at a practice in Nottingham. Katy is passionate about animal care, both at home and in the hospital and has many pets of her own, including cats, dogs, rabbits and even stick insects. She also enjoys singing, playing guitar and working on the house and garden with her husband.
Katie Haywood RVN
Katie qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2007. She completed a diploma in companion animal behaviour in 2011 and is currently working towards a BSc in veterinary nursing and an advanced nursing diploma. Katie also enjoys seeing behaviour cases within the practice. At home, Katie has a cat called Genie and has also recently acquired a new Chihuahua puppy called Jake and a stray kitten, of whom she has named Finn. In her spare time she enjoys running make-up parties and spending time with her husband, Mike and her son, Ewan.
Jennifer Cary-Green FdSc RVN
Jennifer qualified as a veterinary nurse with an FdSc from Nottingham Trent University in 2015, and worked at Pride Veterinary Centre before joining us at Ark Veterinary Clinics in January 2017. She is particularly interested in nursing and medical care of bunnies and other small furries. She often runs small furry clinics at our Long Eaton branch and is always happy to help a variety of bunny and guinea pig concerns. Outside of work Jennifer enjoys dancing, walking and horse riding, whilst also looking after her own menagerie of pets including angora and lion head rabbits, cats and her Spaniel puppy.
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Sarah joined the team in June 2017 as a receptionist but is now training to become a veterinary nurse. She has always had a love for animals and has a dog called Loki, two guinea pigs called Lilly and Lola and a hamster called Darcy. She enjoys days out, music, motorcross and is partial to a bit of chocolate.
Animal Nursing Assistant
Charlotte has been in practice since 2008 and joined Ark Veterinary Clinics in October 2013 having transferred over from another CVS practice, Priory Vets. She runs our weight clinics and socialisation for dogs in practice. Her interests are dancing, kickboxing, and going to zombie conventions as a scare actor. She also enjoys spending time with her friends, boyfriend Matt and her little terror Terrier, Tess. She also does fundraising for the Treetops Hospice.
Patient Care Assistant/Receptionist
Olivia joined Ark Veterinary Clinics in October 2019 as a Patient Care Assistant/Receptionist. She has always had a passion to work with animals and has a particular interest in confidence clinics. Outside of work Olivia enjoys socialising with friends, reading and walking her Beagle called Indie.
